Born at the age of zero in Dover, New Hampshire, Bill Bourdon always had a desire to work in film. At age twelve, after watching E.T. with a sold out, tear-filled audience, he realized the power in storytelling and began to write short stories. At roughly the same age, he created his first Halloween costume out of cardboard, duct tape and household appliances - a Ghostbusters proton pack - which generated rave reviews from the neighbors.
Not too long after that, he began to dabble in the creation of his own monsters and bloody crime scenes - a gift not appreciated by the teachers or school principal! In 1994, he took this passion further, enrolling in The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he would earn a degree in special effects for motion picture film. To date, Bill has worked on many local films, both of his own and of those of his colleagues in the local film community. It was in college that Bill learned the art of wire tree-making.
Something he had always done just to kill time between customers at his day job, Bill did not initially see the true potential of his gorgeous wire creations. With the gentle pushing of his girlfriend - a die-hard TW fan - Bill took the plunge into the world of fine art by registering his tradename, publishing a printed portfolio, developing many contacts in the local art and "curio shop" world, as well as commissioning the website you're surfing now.
To this day, Bill's home is full of oddities - wire trees, a spaceship built out of a broken oscillating fan, monster masks, scripts and short stories. . . . even a home made (and uncanny!) Captain Jack Sparrow costume.
Bill hopes Totally Wired will be another success in a lifetime of creative productions.
