Marge Kendrick is an artist who believes the challenge of painting is to portray her delight and intuitions. As the painting takes shape, “… the notes of color are placed as the subconscious dictates. My work is to pay homage as a serenade.” Kendrick’s exceptional gift allows scenes to be captured, stories told, and memories preserved in a strong, spontaneous style. A versatile impressionist, she’s comfortable with watercolor, oil, and pastel. Her work is of brilliant color and luminosity, yet expresses the true complexities of the nature and Kendrick’s own intense feelings of the subject. The result is art work that’s not a decoration but rather an heirloom to be enjoyed for years to come. Marge Kendrick won her first scholarship to Boston Museum of Fine Arts School when she was only 6 years old. Her painting have been acquired by international collectors and have garnered prestigious awards, such as: A classic fine arts education at he Museum School on scholarships and awards, New England Watercolor Society, Connecticut Pastel Society, Grace Bliss Award of New Hampshire, Numerous Firsts and Best in Shows in the New England she lives in and loves.
Her painting “Oshkosh” is an example of the type of portrait that can be done on a commissioned basis.
