Nancy Talbot’s interest in art started as a young child through drawing and painting. As an adult she studied with Helen Van Wy , a nationally known artist, focusing on still life in oils. Upon retirement she shifted to water color. She studied first with Peg Scully, a New Hampshire artist and then Louise Anderson , a MA artist. For the last 7 years she has been studying with Carolyn Latinision, a nationally known watercolorist. She likes the challenge and transparency of the medium. Her favorite subjects are flowers and a close-up of architectural shapes. A design using the subjects is more important to her than an actual still life.
Her work has been shown in Reading and Wilmington MA. As well as Laconia, and Center Sandwich, New Hampshire. She has won an award for her painting of yellow lady slippers.
